Where to stay depends on how you would like to spend your time in Belo Horizonte: close to the workshop in Pampulha, or closer to the city’s restaurants, culture, and nightlife in Savassi or Similar neighborhoods.

Near the university — Pampulha

Stay in the Pampulha area for convenient access to UFMG’s Pampulha campus and the CAD3 workshop venue. This part of the city has a quieter evening atmosphere and fewer nightlife options than Savassi, making it a good choice if you prefer to stay closer to the university.

Pampulha is also home to the lake and its surrounding architectural landmarks, offering a scenic setting to explore outside the workshop sessions. The area is spread out, so check each hotel’s location relative to both the campus and the lake when choosing your accommodation.

Its lively streets and proximity to the museums and cultural spaces around Praça da Liberdade make it an appealing choice for enjoying the city beyond the workshop.

Staying here means a longer trip to UFMG’s Pampulha campus. Allow extra time for the journey, especially during rush hour, in exchange for more dining and nightlife options around your hotel.
